A mum from Perth\u2019s northern suburbs is looking to pack her bags and embark on a dream family holiday, after a trip to the salon took an unexpected turn when she won a $125,000 scratchie prize.<\/p>\n
The woman in her 70s was on her way to have her hair cut when she purchased the winning Scratch\u2019n\u2019Win ticket from Marmion Post and Newsagency.<\/p>\n
While at the appointment the woman was left \u201cin complete shock\u201d when she scratched through the first line, which revealed she\u2019d won the top prize on the ticket.<\/p>\n
\u201cI had to sit through my hair appointment and act like nothing had happened, chatting away normally and trying to stay calm,\u201d she began.<\/p>\n
The mum-of-two revealed she would be spending her winnings to retire early, as well as splash out on a family trip to Hawaii and gifts for her children.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve had my heart set on a new outdoor furniture set for summer,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI might stop on the way home from the Lotterywest Winners Room to pick one up \u2014 I\u2019d love a new coffee machine and microwave too.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ll definitely take my son and daughter shopping and treat them to anything they want.\u201d<\/p>\n
Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said it was heartwarming to know the $125,000 prize would be shared with family, helping create special opportunities and lasting memories for those closest to the winner.<\/p>\n
\u201cWestern Australian players from Fremantle, Marmion, Floreat, Kardinya and Rockingham have celebrated scratchie top prizes in August,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
