<\/p>\nMelbourne City FC is delighted to announce the signing of experienced midfielder Taylor Ray ahead of the 2026\/27 season.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The 25-year-old arrives at City with more than 100 Ninja A-League appearances to her name and an impressive record of success, having won four Championships and three Premierships across her career.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Breaking through at Sydney FC as a teenager, Ray quickly\u00a0established\u00a0herself as one of the competition\u2019s brightest midfield talents.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Her standout 2021\/22 campaign saw her recognised with\u00a0selection\u00a0in the PFA Team of the Season and earn a maiden Matildas call-up, making her senior international debut\u00a0against Spain in June 2022.\u00a0<\/p>\n

After spending the 2024\/25 season with Central Coast Mariners, Ray added another Championship to her collection, displaying her versatility as the Mariners secured their first Ninja A-League title.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Comfortable operating across\u00a0several\u00a0midfield\u00a0and defensive\u00a0roles,\u00a0she\u00a0brings composure in possession, defensive\u00a0quality\u00a0and a wealth of experience to City\u00a0as the reigning Premiers and Champions prepare for another big season\u00a0both domestically and in Asia.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Melbourne City FC Director of Football Michael Petrillo said Ray\u2019s experience and winning mentality\u00a0make her a\u00a0valuable addition to the squad.\u00a0<\/p>\n
