Credit: GG<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-1ix6vwn-StyledParagraph e4e0a020\">The installation is the first project by non-for-profit <a class=\"css-1wq8pq9-StyledTextLink ezegcyi0\" data-link-type=\"article-inline\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/whac.ltd\/\">Wongan Hills Arts Co. Ltd<\/a>, which aims to strengthen connections between metro audiences and regional WA through contemporary art.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-1ix6vwn-StyledParagraph e4e0a020\">WHAC founder Alex Miller said the decision to put a wheat field inside an office building was deliberately absurd.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-1ix6vwn-StyledParagraph e4e0a020\">\u201cWell why not put a wheat field in an office building? It is fundamentally out of place and obviously absurd, but so is spending a good part of your life surrounded by concrete and glass and calling it normal,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-1ix6vwn-StyledParagraph e4e0a020\">\u201cBeyond that, the meaning is open. We\u2019re not particularly interested in telling people what to think. Credit: GG<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-1ix6vwn-StyledParagraph e4e0a020\">WHAC director Matt Di costa said the project was intended to be more than a traditional gallery experience.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-1ix6vwn-StyledParagraph e4e0a020\">\u201cPerth is in need of more than gallery art.
