A mother of three has been remembered as \u201cthe nicest woman you\u2019d ever meet\u201d after being allegedly murdered in her Melbourne home.<\/p>\n

Irish national Annmarie O\u2019Reilly, 30, was found seriously injured inside her Ferntree Gully home shortly before 10am Friday.<\/p>\n

Paramedics attempted CPR on the woman, but she died at the scene. <\/p>\n

Patrick Stokes, 45, was arrested nearby and has since been charged with one count of murder.<\/p>\n

He appeared at Melbourne Magistrates\u2019 Court on Friday evening via audio visual link, and has been remanded in custody to appear on February 23, 2027. <\/p>\n

Police allege the pair were known to each other. <\/p>\n

Online, Ms O\u2019Reilly\u2019s brother Jimmy expressed the shock of his sister\u2019s alleged murder, describing her as the \u201cnicest women you\u2019d meet\u201d and the \u201cbest mother to her kids\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cMay you get the best bed in Heaven my beautiful sister,\u201d he wrote. <\/p>\n

\u201cLove you so much fly high.\u201d <\/p>\n

Loved ones from her home town in Ireland shared touching tributes to the mother of three.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are devastated to learn of the desperately sad news of the untimely death of Annmarie O\u2019Reilly,\u201d a tribute from the Kilkenny traveller community read. <\/p>\n

\u201cOur thoughts and prayers are with her children, her parents, Ned and Bridget, her brothers and sisters, her extended family and her friends.\u201d <\/p>\n

One friend said it was \u201csuch a cruel and evil world we live in\u201d and Ms O\u2019Reilly \u201cdidn\u2019t deserve that\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cWatch over your three beautiful sons and family at this hard time thinking of ye all today,\u201d they said. <\/p>\n
