Knox Leader <\/a>that the car allegedly failed to give way to a pedestrian as she crossed the road and then the vehicle spun out of control.<\/p>\nBystanders attempted to help the 27-year-old woman but she tragically died at the scene. <\/p>\n
The driver, a 51-year-old woman, and passenger of the vehicle were both taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n
On its Facebook page, Martini & Co posted: \u201cDue to an accident at Westfield Knox, Martini & Co Knox is temporarily closed until further notice. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Please stay safe and we\u2019ll keep you updated when we can reopen.\u201d<\/p>\n
Onlookers posted about the horrific scene shortly after on social media.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was there and saw what was going on, very sad\u2026 our emergency services do an amazing job in situations like this, I used to be an Ambulance Chaplain \u2026 this stuff is hard to face,\u201d Gary Grant wrote.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt looked pretty awful. When I left there were at least 10 different emergency service vehicles,\u201d Melissa Yelds Lacey wrote. <\/p>\n
\u201cFire, ambulance, police, MICA paramedics and SES. Westfield staff were directing traffic and when I left more emergency vehicles were coming in<\/p>\n
