In a massive twist to the beloved revival of Big Brother Australia<\/a>, the iconic, vibrant furnture, house will be ditching its OG Gold Coast stomping ground<\/a> for Brisbane in the 2026 season.\n<\/p>\n

As the gears begin to grind for Big Brother Australia 2026<\/a>, with housemate auditions being shared on the official YouTube account, Network 10 has announced that construction on the 2026 house has begun in Brisbane\u2019s Screen Queensland Studios, which is about 45km from last year\u2019s location, Gold Coast\u2019s Dreamworld<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\u201cDoes anyone have some spare boxes and a van we can borrow? \u2018Cause Big Brother is relocating from the sunny Gold Coast to hot Bris-Vegas,\u201d Big Brother Australia host Mel Tracina<\/a> said. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a new location, with a new house, filled with new housemates but don\u2019t worry \u2014 it\u2019s still the same old scheming Big Brother in charge. Oh, and I\u2019ve been told I can leave the poncho at home. Bring on\u00a0Big Brother\u00a02026!\u201d<\/p>\n

Big Zaddy \u2014 I mean, Big Brother also had something cheeky to say about the move to Brissy<\/a>, paying homage to the iconic Las Vegas quote we all know and love. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe housemates will soon learn that what happens in Bris-Vegas most certainly does not stay in Bris-Vegas,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

Where is the Big Brother Australia 2026 house located? <\/p>\n

The chaotic reality TV shebang will call Brisbane\u2019s Screen Queensland Studio home for the new season. <\/p>\n

Located in Hemmant, the studios have also been used for Boy Swallows Universe<\/a>, which put Aussie stars Felix Cameron and Lee Halley on the map. Cameron also won two Logies<\/a>, one AACTA and a Young Artist Award for his starring role in the Netflix series. <\/p>\n

Plans for the 2025 Big Brother Australia house have not been revealed, including whether or not it will remain as an attraction in Dreamworld<\/a>. <\/p>\n

During the 2025 season, fans were left divided<\/a> on the house\u2019s location after family members of housemates would ride the Tail Spin, which flew over the backyard of the Big Brother garden. As a result, housemates were able to interact with the outside world, with viewers arguing that this defeated the purpose of the show. <\/p>\n
