Big Brother has officially packed its bags and left Dreamworld, with the reality juggernaut confirming its new home will be built in Brisbane.<\/p>\n
Construction is now under way on a brand new Big Brother house at Screen Queensland Studios in Hemmant, marking a major shift for the revived series after previously filming at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast.<\/p>\n
The Brisbane move had been flagged, but producers have now confirmed the location, with the new house to become the centre of the show\u2019s 2026 season.<\/p>\n
Host Mel Tracina said the relocation would usher in a new era for the franchise.<\/p>\n
\u201cBig Brother is relocating from the sunny Gold Coast to hot Bris-Vegas,\u201d Tracina said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a new location, with a new house, filled with new housemates but don\u2019t worry, it\u2019s still the same old scheming Big Brother in charge.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Hemmant studios have previously hosted major productions including Netflix hit Boy Swallows Universe, but will now be transformed to accommodate the show\u2019s diary room, communal living spaces and around-the-clock cameras.<\/p>\n
The 2026 season will also bring back live evictions, live nominations and live streaming, alongside a longer run.<\/p>\n
