{"id":80181,"date":"2026-08-25T17:04:27","date_gmt":"2026-08-25T17:04:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/australia\/80181\/"},"modified":"2026-08-25T17:04:27","modified_gmt":"2026-08-25T17:04:27","slug":"scots-college-boys-face-court-over-alleged-teen-sexual-assault","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/australia\/80181\/","title":{"rendered":"Scots College boys face court over alleged teen sexual assault"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A group of teenage boys from one of Sydney\u2019s most prestigious schools have suffered \u201crepercussions\u201d following allegations they sexually assaulted a girl in an alleyway, a court has been told.<\/p>\n<p>Three Scots College students are accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in a Bondi alleyway in Sydney\u2019s eastern suburbs on the evening of July 22. <\/p>\n<p>Two of the boys, aged 13 and 14, were charged with aggravated sexual assault in company of others and two counts of aggravated sexual touching of another person.<\/p>\n<p>The other 14-year-old was charged with aggravated sexual assault in company and a single count of aggravated sexual touching of another person.<\/p>\n<p>The boys are accused of carrying out the alleged crimes without the girl\u2019s consent and while knowing that she was not consenting, according to court documents seen by NewsWire.<\/p>\n<p>Members of the media were issued a warning to comply with the law and refrain from identifying the boys in any coverage when the matters were briefly mentioned in a Children\u2019s Court on Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n<p>Judge Sue Duncombe said the boys had already suffered \u201crepercussions\u201d as a result of the significant media attention the case has attracted; however, she noted the media had a right to be in court and there were no objections to the presence of journalists on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>All three boys attend the prestigious Scots College, one of the city\u2019s oldest boarding schools that racks up annual tuition fees of more than $50,000 per year.<\/p>\n<p>Their cases will return to court on October 20 when the brief of evidence is due to be served. They are all excused from attending on that date. <\/p>\n<p>The boys are barred from leaving their homes between 6pm and 6am unless they are with their parents as per their bail conditions. <\/p>\n<p>They are also prohibited from being in each other\u2019s company outside of school hours, contacting the alleged victim, and from entering the suburb of Bondi Junction unless they are with their parents.<\/p>\n<p>One of the boys is further banned from assaulting, stalking, threatening, harassing or intimidating the alleged victim, destroying any of her property or harming any animal that belongs to her. <\/p>\n<p>The home of one of the boys was allegedly targeted on August 16, with five boys arrested after police received reports that eggs had been thrown at the house.<\/p>\n<p>Four of the boys, aged between 13 and 17, were released without charge, while a 17-year-old boy was charged with breaching bail and custody of a knife in a public place.<\/p>\n<p>Read
