Police and emergency crews have responded to a series of crashes on South Australian roads, from the Fleurieu Peninsula to Waterloo Corner, as the rain hits the thoroughfares.<\/p>\n

A crash in Para Hills about noon on Tuesday triggered traffic restrictions along Kester Rd, with both lanes currently closed and users urged to avoid the area after a Mazda sedan crashed into a tree and burst into flames.<\/p>\n

The driver, a 19-year-old Gulfview Heights man, and his two passengers were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The car was extensively damaged.<\/p>\n

Early, at 6.16am, crews were called to Victor Harbor Rd at Hindmarsh Valley to reports of a Toyota van and a Suzuki hatch collided.<\/p>\n

The 43-year-old Port Elliot woman driving the Suzuki was treated at the scene before being transported to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.<\/p>\n

The van driver, a 26-year-old Port Elliot man, was taken to hospital by ambulance for minor injuries. <\/p>\n

Traffic restrictions and road closures were imposed, but lifted just before 10am. <\/p>\n

\u201cDue to this crash and flooding in the area, the only way into Victor Harbor is via Goolwa Road and the only way out is via Goolwa Road or Main South Road,\u201d police said on social media.<\/p>\n

Police urged anyone who witnessed the crash or with dashcam footage to contact Crime Stoppers on www.crimestopperssa.com.au or on 1800 333 000 and reference 221455.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, a bus driver was seriously injured <\/a>when his bus veered off a major Port Adelaide road and smashed into a concrete bridge support.<\/p>\n

And a crash along the North-South Motorway forced emergency services to set up traffic restrictions while clearing the road, with southbound motorists facing lengthy delays.<\/p>\n
