The Australian clothing brand brought its outback roots to the Festival\u2019s 21st year, with medal-winning swimmers Shayna Jack, Mollie Callaghan, Meg Harris and Lani Pallister among those taking to the runway.<\/p>\n
Fresh from international competition, the Queensland-based athletes modelled pieces from Kidman\u2019s Mulga Collection, inspired by the Australian landscape, alongside looks from the Kidman x Shayna range.<\/p>\n
The runway styling was completed with jewellery by Queensland designer Margot McKinney.<\/p>\n
Gina Rinehart said the decision to bring the athletes and Kidman to the Festival reflected the brand\u2019s strong Queensland connections.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have great confidence in Lindsay, the BFF director,\u201d Rinehart said.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd we wanted Olympic and Commonwealth Games swimmers to enthusiastically model after their fantastic performances at both international events. Most medal-winning swimmers are based in Queensland.\u201d<\/p>\n
Rinehart said the practicality of the collection was also part of its appeal.<\/p>\n
\u201cI spent a lot of my years in the office, and I would have loved to wear clothes like this, especially ones that can then go on to evening functions.\u201d<\/p>\n
Festival director Lindsay Bennett welcomed Kidman to the program, bringing a distinctly Australian story to the Brisbane runway.<\/p>\n
