Credit: Flight Aware Radar<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">The plane safely landed back at Perth Airport at 11.15am.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">A passenger aboard the diverted plane shared on social media that the issue was apparently related to a compressor in the engine failing to work.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Other Perth locals in suburbs neighbouring the airport had reported hearing loud bangs from the airport.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Jetstar confirmed the plane faced an engineering issue and the aircraft is being inspected.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">\u201cThe aircraft returned to Perth and landed safely, and the aircraft is being assessed by engineers,\u201d a spokesperson for Jetstar said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">\u201cThe safety of our customers and crew remains our highest priority.
