<\/p>\nMelbourne City FC is pleased to announce the signing of Japanese midfielder Momo Hayashi on a one-year deal ahead of the 2026\/27 season.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Hayashi joins City following two impressive seasons with Brisbane Roar,\u00a0where she\u00a0established\u00a0herself as one of the competition\u2019s most\u00a0lethal\u00a0midfielders.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The 31-year-old\u00a0has\u00a0made 38 appearances across her two seasons in the\u00a0Ninja A-League,\u00a0showcasing\u00a0her ability to find the back of the net with 10 goals.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
A hard-working and technically strong midfielder, Hayashi is renowned for her ability to strike from distance and provide a genuine goal threat from midfield, while her energy and work rate allow her to\u00a0impact\u00a0the game\u00a0at both ends of the\u00a0pitch.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Her arrival adds further quality to City\u2019s midfield as the reigning Premiers and Champions prepare to defend\u00a0its\u00a0domestic titles and compete in a third consecutive AFC Women\u2019s Champions League campaign.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Melbourne City FC Director of Football Michael Petrillo said Hayashi would bring a different dimension to City\u2019s midfield.\u00a0<\/p>\n
