Victoria Police has confirmed they travelled to New South Wales this week to interview four people as part of their investigation into the alleged sexual assault at the Pullman Hotel in Melbourne.<\/p>\n
Swans stars Isaac Heeney, Chad Warner, James Jordon and Nick Blakey are the four men police are interviewing as part of the investigation into the alleged assault.<\/p>\n
Fellow Sydney player Riley Bice, who reportedly booked the adult entertainers and was present in the room when the alleged incident took place, is now being treated as a witness.<\/p>\n
Bice is one of three men police have or will be speaking to \u201csolely as witnesses\u201d.<\/p>\n
Heeney, Warner, Blakey, Jordon and Bice were stood down for the remainder of the 2026 AFL season for breaching club standards by staying out late drinking and bringing exotic dancers to the hotel on the morning of Monday, August 17 following a round 23 win over Essendon in Melbourne.<\/p>\n
The police statement reads: \u201cDetectives from the Sexual Crimes Squad are continuing to investigate reports of sexual assault at a hotel in East Melbourne earlier this month.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe matter occurred at the Wellington Parade premises in the early hours of 17 August.<\/p>\n
Three women subsequently made a report to police.<\/p>\n
\u201cDetectives travelled to NSW this week to speak to four people as part of their investigation into the sexual assault allegations, including:<\/p>\n
A 26-year-old Randwick man;<\/p>\n
A 30-year-old Maroubra man;<\/p>\n
A 25-year-old Randwick man; and<\/p>\n
A 25-year-old Paddington man.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat process has now concluded.<\/p>\n
\u201cInvestigators also spoke to or will speak to three men believed to be in the hotel room at the time of the incident, who are being treated solely as witnesses at this time.<\/p>\n
\u201cPolice now believe they have now identified all parties who were in the room at the time of the alleged incident and are not looking for anyone further.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe investigation into the circumstances remains active and ongoing.\u201d<\/p>\n
Following the police statement, the Swans have issued a response.<\/p>\n
They said: \u201cThe Sydney Swans acknowledge the statement made today by Victoria Police regarding an alleged incident at the Pullman Hotel on Monday 17 August.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe wellbeing of those impacted remains of paramount importance.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe note that no charges have been laid and that police have indicated the process may take some time to run its course.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs it remains a police investigation, it is not appropriate to comment further.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe club again extends its sincere apologies to our members and fans, sponsors and the wider community, along with all of our staff and players across both the women\u2019s and men\u2019s programs, for the distress and disappointment this matter has caused.\u201d<\/p>\n
As first reported by The Herald Sun, the woman at the centre of the allegations has claimed up to nine men were present.<\/p>\n
It has been reported former Swans player Taylor Adams was with the group during the night, but it\u2019s unclear if he was in the room when the alleged assault occurred.<\/p>\n
The exotic dancers, arranged through Party Girls Melbourne, were called after 4am and were seen in the hotel foyer speaking with hotel staff and Swans employees, including coach Dean Cox, before 7am.<\/p>\n
Four senior Sydney Swans staff members, including Cox, have provided statements to police.<\/p>\n
Head of football Leon Cameron, communications boss Tom Chadwick and head of wellbeing and development Brett Kirk gave statements to police.<\/p>\n
None of the four club officials were in the room when the women were there and alleged they were assaulted.<\/p>\n
The Swans players have denied any criminal wrongdoing, and no charges have been laid. The police investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n
It comes as Heeney deleted his Instagram account. He had 115,000 followers on the social media platform, but his account has been deactivated \u2014 an error message appears when attempting to view his profile.<\/p>\n

The 30-year-old\u2019s fiancee Steffanie Waters has travelled away from their Sydney home and headed to Noosa to escape the scandal. The couple got engaged in French Polynesia last October.<\/p>\n

The four other players still have active Instagram accounts but have not posted since the scandal.<\/p>\n
The five Swans players were ruled ineligible for selection in the AFL\u2019s All-Australian team and have also been banned from attending the Brownlow Medal on September 21.<\/p>\n
Heeney\u2019s sponsorship deals<\/a> with Colgate and Telstra have been suspended, his children\u2019s book series has been pulled from shelves and he has been dropped from the kids\u2019 football
