Clarkson, who won four premierships at Hawthorn in 2008 and 2013-15, said he will be focusing on moving onto the next chapter of his life. <\/p>\n
His sacking puts pressure on the likes of Adelaide\u2019s Matthew Nicks (seven years, no finals wins), Gold Coast\u2019s Damien Hardwick and St Kilda\u2019s Ross Lyon, who are yet to deliver on taking their teams to glory. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe days of the messiah coach might be over,\u201d Whateley said on AFL 360. <\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s in the hands of Ross Lyon and Damien Hardwick. Can they deliver the promised premiership? Something that\u2019s been successful, recreated in a new environment.\u201d<\/p>\n
