Sydney also gets another night, with a second Afterpay Arena show added for Friday, April 23, immediately after his April 22 date.

It is a considerable step up for an artist whose Australian and New Zealand debut came only recently. SOMBR’s last visit included sold-out headline dates alongside appearances at Spilt Milk, but when he returns next April, he will be firmly in arena territory.

The ‘You Are The Reason Tour’ begins at Adelaide’s AEC Arena on April 13 before the two Melbourne shows on April 15 and 16. Brisbane Entertainment Centre follows on April 19, with Sydney’s newly expanded two-night run on April 22 and 23. The tour finishes at Auckland’s Spark Arena on April 27.

The extra shows arrive at the end of a remarkable couple of years for SOMBR. ‘back to friends’ became his breakthrough, reaching number one on Spotify’s Global and US charts, cracking the Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 and spending five consecutive weeks at the top of Alternative Radio. At one point, he also had five songs simultaneously sitting inside Spotify Australia’s Top 10.

His debut album ‘I Barely Know Her’ arrived in 2025, co-produced by Tony Berg, and gave SOMBR more than a single breakout moment to work with. ‘back to friends’, ‘12 to 12’ and ‘undressed’ all charted simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100 and achieved Platinum certification across several territories, including Australia and New Zealand.

That momentum carried into 2026 with a Best New Artist Grammy nomination, a Best Alternative win at the MTV VMAs and appearances on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’, ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ and ‘Saturday Night Live’.

SOMBR has kept the new music coming too. ‘Homewrecker’ and ‘Potential’ arrived earlier this year, followed by ‘My Body Isn’t Ready’, which landed inside Top 10 charts internationally and continued a run that has moved at considerable speed since ‘back to friends’ first took off.

The addition of second Melbourne and Sydney shows suggests that pace is not easing as 2027 approaches. Less than two years after releasing his debut album, SOMBR is now preparing to play consecutive nights at two of Australia’s major arenas.

The artist presale continues until September 8, while the Frontier Members presale begins at 10am local time on Monday, September 7. General tickets go on sale at 12pm local time on Tuesday, September 8.

Go HERE for all ticketing information.

Related

SOMBR has added second shows in Melbourne and Sydney to his 2027 ‘You Are The Reason Tour’, with…

[4
147135,2719,147136,260,152,139650,147137,147138,147139,147140,147141,147142,147143
post-87487","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-melbourne","tag-back-to-friends","tag-backseat-downunder","tag-i-barely-know-her","tag-melbourne","tag-news","tag-sombr","tag-sombr-afterpay-arena","tag-sombr-australia","tag-sombr-australian-tour-2027","tag-sombr-melbourne","tag-sombr-rod-laver-arena","tag-sombr-sydney","tag-sombr-you-are-the-reason-tour
["GET
