Kia Buckley, the founder of viral fitness brand Kikiva, took to social media on Friday to share just how quickly one\u2019s life can change after receiving bad news.<\/p>\n
The 24-year-old posted a TikTok video that revealed she had been diagnosed with an aggressive skin cancer and needed to have it removed immediately.<\/p>\n
The video \u2014 captioned \u201cLife changes so quickly wow\u201d \u2014 featured a photo of Buckley going about her normal day before it flicked to a photo of her about to undergo an operation.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou really can go from this one day to then getting told you have aggressive skin cancer and need to undergo treatment at 24,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Her scary ordeal prompted an urgent warning to her more than 136,000 TikTok followers, encouraging them to get regular skin checks.<\/p>\n
\u201cPlease, I pray that you go and get your skin checked because if I went two months later, it would have gone into my blood,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo by posting this, I hope you go get your skin checked because it can save your life.<\/p>\n
The video has been seen by more than 69,000 people, with her fans flooding the comments section with well wishes for her recovery.<\/p>\n
Perth influencer Rahnee Bransby said: \u201cSuch an important message, Kia! Hope you\u2019re okay.\u201d<\/p>\n
A skin cancer nurse thanked Buckley for sharing her update, saying: \u201cSkin checks are so important. Wishing you all the best.\u201d<\/p>\n

Several other followers said they would be booking in for a skin check after seeing her video.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy sign to get my skin checked,\u201d one person said.<\/p>\n
Another said: \u201cOh Kia I\u2019m sending all my love. Will be getting my skin checked.\u201d<\/p>\n
The diagnosis comes after Buckley opened her first retail store at Karrinyup Shopping Centre on August 1 which she described as a \u201cdream come true\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cFour years ago, this was just a dream written in my diary. Today, it\u2019s a reality because of every single person who has supported us along the way,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
