{"id":88609,"date":"2026-09-05T07:09:12","date_gmt":"2026-09-05T07:09:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/australia\/88609\/"},"modified":"2026-09-05T07:09:12","modified_gmt":"2026-09-05T07:09:12","slug":"cooloongup-crash-police-hunt-driver-as-they-probe-separate-crashes-in-dianella-glen-forrest-halls-head","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/australia\/88609\/","title":{"rendered":"Cooloongup crash: Police hunt driver as they probe separate crashes in Dianella, Glen Forrest, Halls Head"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Police are investigating multiple serious crashes across Perth as they hunt a driver who managed to flee officers during an overnight pursuit before ditching a crashed car in Rockingham.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">The latest incident police responded to during a busy 12 hours was when a Mazda BT-50 utility failed to stop for officer on Rae Road in Rockingham about 12.25am Saturday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">A spokeswoman said the driver managed to lose police before the pursuit was called off on Cambridge Crescent in Cooloongup.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Roughly 10 minutes later, the same car was found with the help of the police helicopter on Casilda Place.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">The driver fled the area after the vehicle crashed into a brick letterbox and an electrical cabinet. Credit: 7NEWS\/7NEWS<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">It comes as police investigate separate serious crashes from Friday, including when a car smashed into a home and two motorcycle riders were injured.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Just before 1.30pm, a black Triumph motorcycle collided with a blue Dodge RAM utility at the intersection of Mary Street and McLarty Road in Halls Head.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Police said the 37-year-old male rider was seriously injured and rushed to Royal Perth Hospital by ambulance. The 72-year-old man driving the RAM was uninjured.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">In Glen Forrest about 30 minutes later, the rider of a white BMW motorcycle rider crashed after losing control of his bike on Great Eastern Highway.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Police said a Volkswagen Caddy, also travelling eastbound, moved into the path of the motorcycle and caused the 75-year-old rider to crash.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/australia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/fe7d21e8b88487cc7cbf6faa2833fbeb21bc7c27.jpg\" alt=\"Emergency services and SES at the scene in Dianella overnight. \" class=\"css-16r7l45-StyledImage en5ut4d0\"\/>Camera IconEmergency services and SES at the scene in Dianella overnight. Credit: 7NEWS\/7NEWS<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Road policing investigators are also looking into a crash where a Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class station sedan smashed through the front of a Dianella home about 6.40pm on Friday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">The driver was uninjured and the home was extensively damaged. Nobody was home at the time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Anyone with information about either incident, including the whereabouts of the missing driver, is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or <a class=\"css-445i33-StyledTextLink ezegcyi0\" data-link-type=\"article-inline\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.crimestopperswa.com.au\/\">online<\/a>.
