The Age <\/a>reports an audio recording has been seized from a Melbourne home.<\/p>\nAccording to the report, the recording details events at the centre of allegations made by three women. <\/p>\n
The Sydney Morning Herald reports the recording was made in the days following the incident at the Pullman Hotel in East Melbourne on August 17.<\/p>\n
A source has told the publication the recording includes recollections from people inside the hotel room where Sydney Swans players were partying after a win over Essendon at the MCG.<\/p>\n
Victoria Police have made no public comment in response to the report, telling news.com.au they will not be providing any running commentary in regards to the Victoria Police Sexual Crimes Squad\u2019s investigation. <\/p>\n
Isaac Heeney, Chad Warner, Nick Blakey, James Jordon and Riley Bice were all stood down for the remainder of the 2026 season for breaching club standards by staying out late drinking and bringing exotic dancers to the club\u2019s hotel. <\/p>\n
Police are continuing their investigation with Heeney, Warner, Jordon and Blakey all being formally interviewed.<\/p>\n
Bice, who reportedly booked the adult entertainers and was present in the room when the alleged incident took place, is now being treated as a witness.<\/p>\n
The Swans players have denied any criminal wrongdoing, and no charges have been laid.<\/p>\n
The Herald Sun on August 24 first reported the Swans were made aware of a recording featuring at least one of the women who made a report of sexual assault. <\/p>\n
According to the report, an associate of one of the adult entertainers contacted the club to inform officials a recording surrounding the incident was made.<\/p>\n
It has been reported the Swans notified the AFL Integrity Unit about the recording, but AFL chief executive Andrew Dillon said last month he was not aware of any recording being handed to integrity officials. <\/p>\n
Three women have made sexual assault and sexual misconduct claims and have sought legal advice.<\/p>\n
A lawyer for two of the women claiming damages in a civil lawsuit, John Karantzis, went public on August 25 to claim his clients were subjected to \u201cdisgusting\u201d and \u201cabhorrent\u201d behaviour.<\/p>\n
News.com.au is not suggesting the lawyers\u2019 claims are true, just that they are the allegations made on behalf of the women involved.<\/p>\n
The five Swans players were ruled ineligible for selection in the AFL\u2019s All-Australian team and have also been banned from attending the Brownlow Medal on September 21.<\/p>\n
The Swans play the Brisbane Lions at the SCG on Saturday afternoon in a qualifying final.<\/p>\n
