The initiative will be the first time a\u202fchauffeured\u202ftransit service\u202fbetween airport terminals has been offered in Australia,\u202fdesigned to make international\u2013domestic connections faster,\u202fsimpler\u202fand more seamless.\u202f<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From September to November, Qantas will offer the service to a select group of First customers in a Mercedes Maybach when connecting between T1 (International) and T3 (Domestic). The initiative during this period will be used to seek further feedback from customer, after research showed that First travellers value speed, simplicity and maximising time in the lounge rather than in transit.<\/p>\n<p><img data-lazyloaded=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"gsbp-88fa91a\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/australia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Qantas-260604-Syd-Jetbase-Mercedes-A380-0778_V1-M-1132x650-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1132\" height=\"560\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sarah Udy, Qantas Executive Manager Product and Service said the new service reflects the airline\u2019s commitment to improving the end-to-end premium experience.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAs the only airline in Australia to offer this premium transit service, this enhancement is designed to make it easier and more comfortable for our First customers to connect between international and domestic flights after a long journey.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis service sits alongside the other changes we\u2019ve been making to Qantas First, all aimed at making the<br \/>journey for our customers feel more elevated.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>How will it operate?<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A Qantas Host will meet customers on arrival and escort them through the airport to a waiting Mercedes Maybach vehicle for an airside transfer between terminals. The service will be available to invited customers travelling on a Qantas First Class fare.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Qantas First is available on services\u202foperated\u202fon\u202fA380\u202faircraft\u202fto destinations including\u202fSingapore, London, Los Angeles,\u202f Johannesburg\u202fand Dallas.<\/p>\n<p><img data-lazyloaded=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"gsbp-b68982d\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/australia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Qantas-260604-Syd-Jetbase-Mercedes-A380-0707_V1-M-1132x650-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1132\" height=\"560\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The experience complements existing Qantas First benefits such as priority check-in, priority security lanes, priority boarding and access to Qantas First lounges.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Leanne Geraghty, General Manager Passenger Experience at Sydney Airport, said the new service is a welcome enhancement for travellers connecting through Sydney Airport.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe\u2019re proud to partner with Qantas and Mercedes-Benz to bring this new premium transfer experience to Sydney Airport passengers.
