{"id":91087,"date":"2026-09-08T11:43:19","date_gmt":"2026-09-08T11:43:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/australia\/91087\/"},"modified":"2026-09-08T11:43:19","modified_gmt":"2026-09-08T11:43:19","slug":"faraz-mahboob-deported-rape-convict-back-on-dating-site-after-jail","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/australia\/91087\/","title":{"rendered":"Faraz Mahboob: Deported rape convict back on dating site after jail"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A student doctor, who was deported from Australia after he was caught making fake payments to sex workers he engaged with via a dating site, has been spotted back on the same website after spending almost 18 months behind bars. <\/p>\n<p>UK-born Faraz Mahboob, 32, was sentenced earlier this year after pleading guilty to two counts of rape for providing fake Commonwealth Bank receipts to two sex workers as proof of payment \u2013 before blocking them after they provided their services.<\/p>\n<p>Keep supporting investigative journalism by <a class=\"body-link\" href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/wpmth9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">downloading our free app <\/a>and never miss a headline.<\/p>\n<p>One of the women Mr Mahboob hired via the website seeking.com, which is often unofficially used by some people for sex work.<\/p>\n<p>After spending one year and five months behind bars, Mr Mahboob was released on parole in June and deported from Australia. <\/p>\n<p>Since returning to London, Mr Mahboob has reactivated his profile \u2013 even sending an introduction message to the same victim, who recently relocated to Europe. <\/p>\n<p>The victim told news.com.au she could not believe Mr Mahboob messaged her. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cHow can you not recognise the girl you sexually assaulted?\u201d she said. <\/p>\n<p>On his profile, Mr Mahboob describes himself as a \u201csurgeon who\u2019s pivoted into the corporate world\u201d and a \u201cPE\/VC Wealth Fund Manager\u201d. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI offer charm, affection, good conversation, discretion, and the kind of masculine energy that makes your life feel lighter and more enjoyable. I\u2019m not here for drama,\u201d his profile bio states. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m here for a respectful, fun, mutually beneficial connection. Very time poor so please don\u2019t take offence to slow replies, rest assured that if we\u2019ve matched, it\u2019s for a reason.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you\u2019re confident, a little mischievous, and know how to keep up, we\u2019ll have a very good time.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>New consent laws introduced to NSW in 2022 allow anyone who fails to pay a sex worker to be charged with sexual assault, as consent was given based on an agreed-upon payment.<\/p>\n<p>Both women were hired online by Mr Mahboob, who was living in Eastgardens in Sydney\u2019s eastern suburbs at the time, and agreed to be paid $2000 in exchange for unprotected sex at the A by Adina Hotel, court documents revealed.<\/p>\n<p>Court documents obtained by news.com.au revealed Mr Mahboob was a final-year medical student and was undertaking a clinical placement at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney at the time of his offending.<\/p>\n<p>Officers wait at hotel <\/p>\n<p>Police managed to arrest Mr Mahboob in January last year after the hotel\u2019s staff informed investigators that he had made a third booking at the hotel.<\/p>\n<p>Officers waited at the hotel for Mr Mahboob to arrive and took him to Day Street Police Station.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, he was sentenced to two years and six months\u2019 jail, with a non-parole period of one year and five months.<\/p>\n<p>However, the sentence was backdated to his arrest on January 7, 2025, and he was released on parole on June 6, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>STD results<\/p>\n<p>The first victim, who was hired by Mr Mahboob in December 2024 via seeking.com agreed to have unprotected sex with Mr Mahboob on the basis that he provided a blood test with STD results.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Mahboob hired the 28-year-old using the name \u201cAlex\u201d. <\/p>\n<p>He sent a copy of a NSW Pathology blood test result under the name \u201cAlex Masood\u201d along with a fake $2000 transfer receipt into her bank account, court documents showed.<\/p>\n<p>He told her it \u201cmight take three days\u201d for the money to clear. She asked for a physical receipt, which he gave to her upon meeting at the hotel.<\/p>\n<p>About 10 minutes after the woman left the hotel, Mr Mahboob messaged her on WhatsApp, saying he didn\u2019t want to see her again because he felt like he was \u201ccheating on his ex-girlfriend\u201d. He then blocked her number.<\/p>\n<p>She reported the incident to the police three days later after failing to receive the funds.<\/p>\n<p>The second victim was hired by Mr Mahboob \u2013 who used the name \u201cAkshay\u201d \u2013 in January 2025 via WhatsApp.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Mahboob sent the 23-year-old woman a fake payment receipt before meeting at the hotel.<\/p>\n<p>Court documents state that at one point during intercourse, Mr Mahboob suddenly pulled back, stating: \u201cFlashbacks, flashbacks. I can\u2019t believe I am f**king a wh*re\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>He apologised to the victim before leaving the hotel.<\/p>\n<p>Sex worker confronts student doctor<\/p>\n<p>In messages obtained by news.com.au, the second victim confronted Mr Mahboob via WhatsApp after the money failed to arrive.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHey, the money hasn\u2019t landed in my account?\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCould you please check the status of the payment please x.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He replied: \u201cHey, I went into the branch, they said they cancelled the payment because they thought it was fraud again. They\u2019ve told me the best thing to do is make a new bank account, which I\u2019m doing now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The victim responded: \u201cHi, I\u2019m sorry, but this sounds suss.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The woman told Mr Mahboob that he could be charged with rape and that she would report the incident to police if the money did not land in her account by the end of the day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOK, this is getting a bit much,\u201d he said before claiming he had recently had $45,000 stolen from his bank account.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not being an a**hole, please, I\u2019m already overwhelmed as is.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPleas (sic). I\u2019m not a bad person. Just don\u2019t ruin my life over $2k.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At one point, Mr Mahboob sent her a photo of a UK passport with the name \u201cAkshay Kamra\u201d before sending a photo from the hospital with his real name \u2013 on his NSW Health work pass \u2013 in view.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Mahboob told the woman that he had flown to Queensland and that he was working in a hospital in Brisbane.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHere is my passport for you to follow up,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not lying when I say my accounts got locked.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She then reported the incident to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and police.<\/p>\n<p>Got a story that needs investigating?
