Perth\u2019s best parmi has officially been crowned \u2014 with a beloved venue south of the city taking out the top gong.<\/p>\n
After the people of WA voted in PerthNow Pulse\u2019s search, The Suburban Bar and Grill in Bertram beat stiff competition to be declared the home of Perth\u2019s best chicken parmigiana.<\/p>\n
The venue serves nine different types of parmis, with the cheapest costing $33 and its more extravagant chicken dishes setting diners back $36.<\/p>\n
The Suburban Bar and Grill head chef Ross Beinke said the win felt \u201cfantastic\u201d, crediting the homemade touch for helping the venue stand out among locals.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s just the fact that they\u2019re so big, they\u2019re so juicy,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s just the homemade parmi. We bash them all out ourselves.<\/p>\n
\u201cLook at the size of them on the plate. Who could not be happy?<\/p>\n
\u201cEveryone\u2019s always happy with them and the price is good for what you get.\u201d<\/p>\n
A whopping 31 per cent of voters said The Suburban Bar and Grill served their favourite parmi, closely followed by Rose & Crown Hotel in Guildford with 26 per cent.<\/p>\n
Haynes Bar & Grill in Armadale had 19 per cent, The Mean Bean Diner in Bullsbrook had 17 per cent, while North Perth\u2019s Rosemount Hotel received 8 per cent.<\/p>\n
