A gym-loving self-styled addiction recovery coach and party boy facing drug charges was found unresponsive in a Melbourne CBD unit as a result of a drug overdose, a court has heard.<\/p>\n
Adam Avignone-Green, who is well known in the weightlifting and fitness community, fronted the Melbourne Magistrates\u2019 Court from prison on Wednesday to plead guilty to drug charges, as well as possession of a prohibited weapon.<\/p>\n
However, the plea hearing was adjourned to September 28 as the prosecution needed to clarify the amounts of MDMA and methamphetamine that were allegedly recovered from a unit he stayed in.<\/p>\n
The prosecution withdrew nine charges before a short summary was read out that stated that about 2.10am on December 31, 2025, police went to his short-stay accommodation at King St in Melbourne CBD to arrest him on an unrelated matter. <\/p>\n
Officers forced entry after Avignone-Green allegedly wouldn\u2019t open the door and found him unresponsive as a result of a drug overdose. <\/p>\n
CPR was administered before he was taken to St Vincent\u2019s Hospital. Police allegedly located a substantial a number of drugs of dependence, weapons such as a knife and a machete, and electronic devices. He declined to make a comment. <\/p>\n
He is a well-known Melbourne party boy who\u2019s also prominent in the weightlifting and fitness circles.<\/p>\n
