In 2018, she became the first female chef in the United States to be awarded three Michelin stars.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She is also a\u00a0James Beard Award nominee, World\u2019s 50 Best Icon Award recipient, and one of Time Magazine\u2019s 100 Most Influential People of 2024.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her portfolio also includes\u00a0Crenn, Caf\u00e9 Dior by Dominique Crenn in Dallas, and Monsieur Dior by Dominique Crenn in Beverly Hills.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cPetit Crenn comes from my own life, from the cafes in France where you can sit for five minutes or five hours and always feel welcome,\u201d says Crenn.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019ve wanted to bring that feeling to Australia for a long time, and Melbourne, with its curiosity and its love of good food, felt like exactly the right place to do it. The menu will also feature\u00a0seasonal tartines,\u00a0salads, caviar, and daily French classics which celebrate\u00a0timeless French cooking through Crenn\u2019s contemporary perspective.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The venue will also offer a changing plat du jour, with dishes including\u00a0French\u00a0raviole\u00a0with onion consomm\u00e9, and moules with preserved lemon and beurre de baratte.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Salter Brothers Director of Culinary\u00a0Matthew Butcher says Petit Crenn is a landmark moment for Australian dining.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cDominique Crenn is one of the world\u2019s most celebrated culinary voices and to bring her vision to Australia for the first time is incredibly special,\u201d says Butcher.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cPetit Crenn reflects exactly the type of partnership we are focused on building: globally\u00a0recognised\u00a0talent, a distinctive hospitality concept, and a city with the energy and appetite to embrace it. Melbourne is the right place, and this is the right moment.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The venue is designed by\u00a0Crenn herself, supported by Salter Brothers\u2019 design team. It will draw on the landscapes and coastline of Brittany which is Crenn\u2019s home region in France.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Petit Crenn at 495 Collins St is set to open in October.
