Adelaide United have confirmed legendary midfielder Emily Condon has left the club to pursue a new challenge, bringing an end to more than a decade\u2019s worth of service to the Reds.<\/p>\n

Condon leaves as one of the most significant players in Adelaide United\u2019s A-League Women\u2019s history, sitting second on the club\u2019s all-time appearance list with 148 games and 23 goals.<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old first represented the Reds as a 15-year-old, making her debut in a 2-0 win over Canberra United on 5 January 2014.<\/p>\n

She scored her first goal for the club just six days later and remains Adelaide United\u2019s youngest A-League Women\u2019s goalscorer.<\/p>\n

Condon went on to become one of the club\u2019s most recognisable players, wearing the number eight shirt across more than a decade.<\/p>\n

She became the first Adelaide United A-League Women\u2019s player to reach 100 appearances in March 2024 against Central Coast Mariners, having brought up her 50th appearance against Canberra United in January 2019.<\/p>\n

Her contribution was recognised throughout her career, including being named Adelaide United\u2019s 2017\/18 Westfield W-League Rising Star and the 2025\/26 RAA Members\u2019 A-League Women Player of the Year.<\/p>\n

Condon also earned her first Matildas cap against Portugal at the Algarve Cup in 2018 and finished inside the top 10 of the 2025 Julie Dolan Medal voting.<\/p>\n

Adelaide United CEO Nathan Kosmina paid tribute to Condon\u2019s contribution to the club.<\/p>\n

\u201cEmily has been an outstanding servant of Adelaide United and an important figure in the history of our women\u2019s program,\u201d Kosmina said.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe has been at the forefront of the evolution of the women\u2019s game, helping drive change for the better through her performances, standards, and professionalism.<\/p>\n

Adelaide United Football Director Mitch van Gellekom also paid tribute to Condon.<\/p>\n
