C&rsquo;est ce que sugg\u00e8re une \u00e9tude pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e le 8 juillet 2026 lors du congr\u00e8s annuel de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 europ\u00e9enne de reproduction humaine et d&#8217;embryologie (ESHRE). Les chercheurs ont observ\u00e9 que l&rsquo;exposition \u00e0 plusieurs polluants atmosph\u00e9riques \u00e9tait associ\u00e9e \u00e0 des modifications de l&rsquo;ADN des spermatozo\u00efdes, susceptibles d&rsquo;influencer leur d\u00e9veloppement.<\/p>\n<p>La pollution pourrait modifier certains g\u00e8nes des spermatozo\u00efdes<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Les chercheurs ont analys\u00e9 les donn\u00e9es de plus de 2 000 hommes suivis entre 2013 et 2017 \u00e0 Salt Lake City, aux \u00c9tats-Unis. Les participants ont fourni plusieurs \u00e9chantillons de sperme sur une p\u00e9riode de six mois. Les scientifiques ont ensuite estim\u00e9 leur exposition \u00e0 diff\u00e9rents polluants pendant la spermatogen\u00e8se, c&rsquo;est-\u00e0-dire les trois mois n\u00e9cessaires \u00e0 la fabrication des spermatozo\u00efdes. Parmi les substances \u00e9tudi\u00e9es figuraient l&rsquo;ozone (O\u2083), le dioxyde d&rsquo;azote (NO\u2082), le dioxyde de soufre et les particules fines (PM2,5). Leurs analyses ont mis en \u00e9vidence 39 modifications de la m\u00e9thylation de l&rsquo;ADN, un m\u00e9canisme qui r\u00e9gule l&rsquo;expression des g\u00e8nes sans modifier leur s\u00e9quence.
