High-level ministers and investors will debate defense, energy, and infrastructure priorities while Ukrainian firms pitch projects to secure European financing and partnerships.
In Brussels, the Ukraine–EU Business Forum has kicked off. The event will feature a series of panel discussions, practical workshops, and meetings between Ukrainian and European business partners with the aim of building cooperation and exploring investment opportunities.
At the official opening, key figures from both regions will speak: the European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos, Ukraine’s Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Taras Kachka, Ukraine’s Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture Oleksiy Sobolev, and the Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage Marta Chenkovska.
Main topics of the forum
During the rounds, issues will include strengthening Ukraine’s defenses and Europe’s security, supporting industrial capacities and technological innovations; opportunities for European private investors in transport and logistics infrastructure, as well as reducing investment risks in critical raw materials; Ukraine’s economic recovery and the EU’s role in this process; the needs of the energy sector; supporting small and medium-sized enterprises through reforms of the business environment, trade liberalization, and investment-support tools; as well as lessons from the war to ensure European defense readiness.
On the sidelines of the forum, meetings of special representatives on Ukraine’s recovery are also planned, and Ukrainian manufacturers will be able to present their projects to European investors and potential partners.
Dates and venue
According to preliminary data, on June 25–26 in Gdańsk, Poland, another Ukraine recovery conference will take place.
Overall, the event underscores the shared interest of the EU and Ukraine in finding ways to accelerate the economy’s recovery and modernize key sectors.
