The European Commission has opened an investigation into Meta this Wednesday for breaching the European Union’s Digital Services Act (DSA) and failing to prevent children under 13 from using Facebook and Instagram. The Commission has indicated that the measures taken by the technology company on these platforms to assess the age of its users “do not appear to be efficient”.
