NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Back in March of this year, Belgium beat the United States, 5-2, in a friendly. In the grand scheme of things, that game didn’t mean much, it was a preseason matchup.
On Monday, things will be much different. The United States Men’s National Team is a slight favorite (-115) to advance over Belgium (-107) in their Round of 16 game.
The last time these countries met in the World Cup was 2014. The Red Devils beat the Stars and Stripes, 2-1, in the Round of 16 in Brazil.
Monday night, they meet in Seattle. Yeah, the atmosphere will be quite different for this one.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on FOX 8. Pregame show starts at 5 p.m.
