SEATTLE — With Seattle’s final FIFA World Cup 2026 match just days away, the Seattle FIFA World Cup 2026 Local Organizing Committee is planning a press conference Thursday morning featuring an unusual “match prediction” ahead of the Round of 16 knockout-round game on Monday, July 6.

The event will be held at the Seattle International Media Center. Organizers said it will preview Monday’s matchup, which is the final match hosted at Seattle Stadium.

The press conference theme is “Cool Under Pressure,” and will include a prediction from Luna, described as a psychic and “very adoptable” 8-year-old German Shepard mix from the Seattle Animal Shelter.

Organizers said Luna will make her pick by choosing between two bowls of treats. Luna is available for adoption through the Seattle Animal Shelter and is still looking for her forever home.

SeattleFWC26 is the local organizing committee for Seattle’s participation as one of the 16 Host Cities selected for the FIFA World Cup 2026.

The organization said its vision is to foster a lasting legacy for the region, guided by the spirit of soccer, innovation, and inclusion.
