A high-level meeting will probe implementation of the Black Sea strategic approach and urgent humanitarian concerns, as Ukraine’s foreign minister attends to press for support.
Foreign ministers of EU member states plan to meet on July 13 in Brussels to discuss Russia’s war against Ukraine and the situation of civilians held by the aggressor. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga will attend the meeting.

The next meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council will take place in Brussels under the chairmanship of the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas

The Council’s press service said that ministers will discuss Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine after an informal exchange of views with the participation of Andriy Sibiga.
One year after the launch of the EU’s Black Sea Strategy, the Council will review its implementation and discuss proposals for further action.
Before the meeting, an informal breakfast is planned on the topic of Ukrainian civilians detained by Russia.
According to the President of the European Council, António Costa, the opening of another cluster within the Ukraine accession talks could take place soon.
The meeting underscores the EU’s attention to Ukraine’s prospects and its continuing European path, as well as to its humanitarian needs in the context of the war.
