More than 33 million people watched the game on Fox on Monday night. The New York Times reported that figure, citing Nielsen ratings.

That total did not include Spanish-language coverage on Telemundo and Peacock.

Even with the record, the audience remained smaller than other major sports broadcasts. The Super Bowl drew well more than 100 million viewers each year, according to the report.
