Afghanistan’s embassy and representation in Belgium said in a statement that the attacks raise serious concerns under the UN Charter, including respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity and peaceful resolution of disputes.

The Afghan embassy has called on the Pakistani government to immediately cease military operations and resolve concerns through dialogue and international mechanisms.

It also called on the international community, including the United Nations, the European Union and regional partners, to exercise appropriate accountability and clearly defend the protection of civilians, reduction of tensions and respect for international law.

“The loss of innocent lives during the holy month of Ramadan is deeply worrying,” the European Union said in a statement. Respect for sovereignty, protection of civilians and observance of international law are not optional principles; Rather, the requirements are inevitable.

The Indian government has earlier issued a statement condemning Pakistan’s brutal military attacks on Paktika and Nangarhar provinces.
