The USMNT has lost 5-2 to Belgium in a friendly match at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. After an impressive first half from the USMNT, Belgium responded in the second half with three goals to complete a comeback win.

In the first half, Weston McKennie scored the opener for Team USA from a corner kick. McKennie took advantage of bad defending from Belgium and tapped the ball past Senne Lammens.

Just before halftime, Matt Turner saves a shot from Jeremy Doku, and from the save, Zeno Debast takes a low driven shot from outside the box to tie the game.

In the second half, Amadou Onana takes a first-time shot in the box that goes past Turner to make it 2-1 to Belgium. Six minutes later, Charles De Ketelaere scored the third for Belgium from the penalty spot after a handball from Tim Ream.

Dodi Lukebakio scored the fourth after a great move past Max Arfsten and curled his shot from the edge of the box. Lukebakio scored his second of the day after a poor clearance in the box from Sebastian Berhalter.

Ricardo Pepi managed to capitalize on a mistake from Belgium, and Patrick Agyemang scored past Lammens.

The USMNT attack looked threatening in the first half, with Christian Pulisic taking three shots during the match, but none were on target. Pulisic struggled to make a significant impact on the attack.

Weston McKennie and Antonee Robinson were among the few players who could keep their heads high after this 5-2 loss to Belgium, with McKennie scoring the opener and Robinson assisting the goal and being a threat through the left flank.

Antonee ‘Yedi’ Robinson was seen as a positive for the team as Belgium looked threatening from the left side, where Jeremy Doku completed three dribbles.
