LONGi, a China-based PV technology company, has supported Innoptus Solar Team’s 200 km Solar Home Run across Belgium. The 11th-generation Infinite Apollo solar race car used LONGi high-efficiency back-contact cells during urban-road testing under live traffic and variable solar irradiance. The Belgium route covered six stops in one day, including Sibelco, Indupol, DEME, PwC Belgium, KBC, and 4itego/Innoptus. The run followed LONGi’s recent statement on providing BC technology and flexible PV solutions for the team. The testing forms part of preparations linked to the 2026 American Solar Challenge, beginning in July after three-day qualification at Brainerd International Raceway. Infinite Apollo had completed assembly after ten months of development and entered several thousand kilometers of real-road testing across Belgium.
