Jeremy Wilson<\/p>\n<p> Belgium and Spain have each pledged \u20ac1 billion in new military aid to Ukraine, including additional F-16 fighter jets and spare parts for the Ukrainian armed forces, according to Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov after talks with Belgium&#8217;s Defense Minister Theo Francken and Spain&#8217;s Margarita Robles. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cBelgium is providing \u20ac1 billion in defense aid to Ukraine this year, confirming plans to supply additional F-16 fighters along with spare parts for existing aircraft. Spain will also allocate \u20ac1 billion to support Ukraine in 2024,\u201d Fedorov wrote, <a href=\"https:\/\/news.az\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">News.Az<\/a> reports, citing<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/uawire.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> foreign media.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The three countries have also synchronized their efforts on critical cooperation areas: strengthening air defense systems, developing drone capabilities, and coordinating on the \u201cCzech initiative\u201d to supply Ukraine\u2019s front lines with long-range artillery.<\/p>\n<p>Fedorov highlighted that discussions also focused on expanding collaboration between the defense industries of the three countries, particularly via the European SAFE mechanism.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re ready to present a roster of manufacturers able to cooperate with Spanish companies. <a href=\"https:\/\/news.az\/news\/uk-to-send-120-000-drones-to-ukraine\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ukraine<\/a> has also offered Spain opportunities to test drones in combat conditions,\u201d Fedorov added.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, none of the F-16s promised by Norway have yet made it to Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/news.az\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">News.Az<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a class=\"by-user\" href=\"https:\/\/news.az\/journalists\/ulviyya-salmanli\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">By Ulviyya Salmanli<\/a>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Creator: Staff Sgt.
