Authorities determined that the items had not been properly declared.

The Belgian Foreign Ministry confirmed that the shipments were confiscated and that a judicial investigation has been launched.

A statement from the Walloon regional government indicated that one of the companies involved is Moog Inc., a US-based aerospace firm.

The company is reported to produce actuators used in M-346 training aircraft operated by pilots of the Israeli regime. Officials also noted that similar shipments had previously been routed from the United Kingdom through Belgium.

Authorities identified at least 17 separate shipments linked to the same company that passed through Liege Airport en route to the Israeli regime.

Belgium enacted a ban on the transit of weapons and military equipment to the Israeli occupation regime on January 23, 2026.

The latest seizure is seen as part of efforts to enforce the embargo and prevent unauthorized transfers of military-related materials.
