If the lineup holds together, the next
\nProfessional Fighters League<\/a> card in Europe will have the
\nmajority of red corner athletes sporting surnames starting with the
\nletter \u201ca.\u201d<\/p>\n

Per a press release on Thursday, the PFL has finalized its 12-fight
\nlineup for the May 23 show at the ING Arena in Brussels, Belgium.
\n
\nPFL Brussels<\/a> will be headlined by a non-title, non-tournament
\nmain event pitting undefeated Belgian up-and-comer Patrick
\nHabirora<\/a> (8-0) against 42-year-old former champion Benson
\nHenderson<\/a> (30-12).<\/p>\n

Making his pro debut in January 2024, Habirora has rattled off
\neight victories, seven inside the distance, including four under
\nthe PFL Europe banner. The 25-year-old exploded onto the PFL scene
\nlast year thanks to a pair of first-round knockouts of Danny
\nRoberts<\/a> and Kevin
\nJousset<\/a>. He has only fought beyond the first round twice as a
\nprofessional.<\/p>\n

While Habirora got his start at the beginning of 2024, it has been
\nsince March 2023 that Henderson has stepped inside of an MMA cage
\nto fight. \u201cSmooth\u201d did participate in grappling matches as well as
\na stop off in Karate Combat to handle some business with past foe
\nAnthony
\nPettis<\/a>. He also tested his mettle in an influencer boxing
\ntournament where he won a decision against Chris Avila<\/a>
\nbut lost on the scorecards later that night to Idris Virgo for the
\norganization\u2019s inaugural belt.<\/p>\n

Of note, the PFL added a welterweight scrap to the prelims,
\nbringing back once-beaten Khamzat
\nAbaev<\/a> (5-1) to face grappling aficionado Luca Poclit<\/a>
\n(10-2). The former debuted with the PFL last year, going the
\ndistance and also losing for the first time to Chequina
\nNoso Pedro<\/a>. Since Poclit\u2019s last bout in June 2024, Abaev has
\ncompeted thrice.<\/p>\n
