Azerbaijan and Belgium have discussed prospects for expanding inter-parliamentary cooperation on the margins of the 152nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, according to Azerbaijan\u2019s Milli Majlis.<\/p>\n
The meeting focused on strengthening dialogue between the two legislatures, with both sides highlighting the role of parliamentary diplomacy in fostering mutual understanding and addressing shared interests, Caliber.Az<\/a> reports per the parliament’s press service<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n Participants emphasised the importance of maintaining regular contacts between parliaments and noted the contribution of the Inter-Parliamentary Union to facilitating dialogue and cooperation among national legislatures.<\/p>\n Azerbaijan\u2019s parliamentary leadership said there are favourable opportunities to further develop bilateral relations with Belgium across multiple areas, including parliamentary engagement.<\/p>\n The discussions also included an exchange on regional developments, including the Armenia\u2013Azerbaijan normalisation process.
