It will offer thousands of commercially available textiles and materials to brands, designers, manufacturers and investors who view the show as a window on the future.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tSome 5,000 materials will be on display in the textiles area, and there will also be separate hubs for innovation, footwear, home interiors and regenerative agriculture. The supporting partners this year are <a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/tag\/canopy\/\" id=\"auto-tag_canopy\" data-tag=\"canopy\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Canopy<\/a>, Textile Genesis and EcoAge.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe upcoming fair will be full of fresh ideas. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tDuring a preview in <a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/tag\/london\/\" id=\"auto-tag_london\" data-tag=\"london\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">London<\/a> on Tuesday, organizers said the \u201ccomponents\u201d area will be even bigger, with hemp and organic cotton zips by YKK; plant-based textiles by Evoco, and laces from Nettle Circle, a Swiss company that transforms nettles from the Himalayas into stretchy fabrics for shoes, corsets and clothing.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"c-lazy-image__img lrv-u-background-color-grey-lightest lrv-u-width-100p lrv-u-display-block lrv-u-height-auto\" src=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/wp-content\/themes\/vip\/pmc-wwd-2021\/assets\/public\/lazyload-fallback.gif\" data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Photo-24-06-2025-09-39-48.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-lazy- data-lazy- height=\"683\" width=\"1024\" decoding=\"async\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\tNina Marenzi<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe preview highlighted natural dyes made from food waste, the cochineal cactus, and bacteria found along the Amazon River in Brazil.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tOther small wonders on show included sequins created from cellulose or starch, curly \u201cbio-fur\u201d derived from corn, and flocked fabric made in part from pulverized deadstock threads.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe June show will have a data dimension. Francois Souchet, founder of Swanstant, a \u201cclimate-economic\u201d intelligence company, will be speaking at the fair. Swanstant, which is based in <a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/business-news\/retail\/longchamp-sloane-square-la-plage-pop-up-1238930343\/\" id=\"related_article_link_london\" data-tag=\"london\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">London<\/a>, aims to help companies benchmark and achieve their de-carbonization goals, and anticipate the impact of climate-related disruptions using past and predictive data.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tOne of the fair\u2019s big themes will be showing brands and visitors that embracing sustainability can be cost-effective and \u2014 with a little planning \u2014 worth the effort.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAmanda Johnston, chief design officer of Future Fabrics Expo, said the fair is meant to help designers and brands \u201cactivate their collective power as agents of change.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe show will be taking place this year alongside the Textiles Recycling Expo in Brussels.
