{"id":14873,"date":"2026-05-10T19:44:12","date_gmt":"2026-05-10T19:44:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/be\/14873\/"},"modified":"2026-05-10T19:44:12","modified_gmt":"2026-05-10T19:44:12","slug":"ukrainian-foreign-minister-sybiga-visits-brussels-to-press-eu-and-nato-partners-ukraine-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/be\/14873\/","title":{"rendered":"Ukrainian foreign minister Sybiga visits Brussels to press EU and NATO partners | Ukraine news"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-style:italic;font-weight:500;font-size:18px;line-height:1.5\">A high-level Brussels trip will bring EU and NATO talks alongside a coalition push to speed up return of Ukrainian children.<\/p>\n<p>Ukraine\u2019s Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga will visit Brussels on Monday, May 11, where he will participate in EU and NATO-related events and in the ministerial meeting of the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children.<\/p>\n<p>The MFA\u2019s press service said this.<\/p>\n<p>It is noted that at the start of the visit Sibiga will speak at the European Union\u2019s Foreign Affairs Council meeting, where the emphasis will be on increasing pressure on the aggressor, supporting Ukraine, and pursuing peaceful efforts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSpecial attention will be given to accelerating Ukraine\u2019s accession to the EU and the opening of negotiation clusters\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 MFA\u2019s press service<\/p>\n<p>The ministry added that on the sidelines of the meeting, a number of bilateral talks with European partners and the signing of bilateral documents are planned.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, at NATO headquarters the Foreign Minister will hold talks with Secretary General Mark Rutte on strengthening Ukraine\u2019s defense capabilities, protecting against threats from Russia, and advancing the peace process.<\/p>\n<p>Expected Focus Areas of the Meeting and Participation in the Coalition<\/p>\n<p>The key event of the visit will be the minister\u2019s participation in the high-level meeting of the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children, organized jointly by Ukraine, the European Union, and Canada, according to the MFA.<\/p>\n<p>Attending the event will also be Canada\u2019s Minister of Foreign Affairs Anita Anand, the EU\u2019s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas, EU Commissioner Marta Kos, senior representatives of states and international organizations \u2013 coalition members, international partners of Ukraine, the Bring Kids Back UA initiative.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting will be devoted to strengthening international efforts to return Ukrainian children who have been illegally deported or forcibly displaced by the Russian Federation.
