Gift of traditional needle lace<\/p>\n
Erdo\u011fan presented Mathilde with a handcrafted brooch featuring honeysuckle, chrysanthemum, and tulip motifs. The piece was created over one week by instructors from the Maturation Institute using traditional needle lace and embroidery techniques. The two also reviewed garments from the \u201cAnatolia Collection\u201d designed by Turkish fashion designer \u00d6zg\u00fcr Masur at Dolmabah\u00e7e Palace. The 100-piece collection was developed after three years of research conducted at women\u2019s institutes across Anatolia, reinterpreting the region\u2019s unique production techniques and fabrics through modern designs.<\/p>\n

Following the meeting, Erdo\u011fan wrote on the Turkish social media platform NSosyal: \u201cI was pleased to meet with Queen Mathilde of Belgium in Istanbul during her visit to our country. I hope this valuable meeting will further strengthen our countries\u2019 bonds of friendship.\u201d Belgium\u2019s five-day economic mission to T\u00fcrkiye, which began on Sunday, is set to conclude on Thursday.
