{"id":16471,"date":"2026-05-20T12:53:25","date_gmt":"2026-05-20T12:53:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/be\/16471\/"},"modified":"2026-05-20T12:53:25","modified_gmt":"2026-05-20T12:53:25","slug":"finnlines-expands-ireland-belgium-freight-service-with-a-second-vessel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/be\/16471\/","title":{"rendered":"Finnlines expands Ireland\u2013Belgium freight service with a second vessel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To meet growing customer demand, Finnlines is strengthening the service with the addition of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.shippaxdatabase.com\/free\/ship\/52558\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">LISMORE<\/a>, which will join <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shippaxdatabase.com\/free\/ship\/51884\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">FINNWAVE<\/a> on the route in week 22, departing from Zeebr\u00fcgge on 28th\u00a0of May. The enhanced schedule will substantially increase freight capacity on the direct connection between Ireland and continental Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Finnlines\u2019 Rosslare\u2013Zeebr\u00fcgge service has proven highly successful and serves as an important trade link for Irish industry. Through transhipment in Zeebr\u00fcgge, the service also connects Ireland with Finland, Poland, the UK, Spain and the wider Grimaldi Group network.<\/p>\n<p>LISMORE\u00a0will operate on a charter agreement and complements Finnlines\u2019 existing fleet deployed on the route. The addition of the vessel enables Finnlines to respond quickly to increasing market demand while further strengthening service reliability and schedule flexibility for customers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have seen steadily increasing demand on our Ireland\u2013Belgium service and are pleased to offer our customers greater capacity and flexibility. By adding a second vessel and increasing the frequency, we are further strengthening our service for both the Irish and European markets,\u201d says Umberto Raimo, Deputy Line Manager at Finnlines.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis development has been made possible through close cooperation with the terminals in Rosslare and Zeebr\u00fcgge, as well as the support of our customers.
