The young royal earned a master\u2019s degree in public policy from Harvard\u2019s John F. Kennedy School of Government. She previously graduated with a bachelor\u2019s degree in history and politics at Lincoln College, a school at Oxford University, in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>To commemorate her graduation, Princess Elisabeth <a data-ylk=\"slk:shared some never-before-seen photos;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DY1vEBRjw08\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">shared some never-before-seen photos<\/a> from her time on Harvard\u2019s campus, published to the Belgian royal household\u2019s social media accounts. In the series of images, Elizabeth is dressed in <a data-ylk=\"slk:a white two-piece set;elm:affiliate_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;elmt:premonetized;\" href=\"https:\/\/go.skimresources.com\/?id=74968X1525087&amp;xs=1&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.thereformation.com%2Fproducts%2Fmoya-linen-two-piece%2F1314481.html\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">a white two-piece set<\/a> from Southern California fashion label Reformation with an <a data-ylk=\"slk:Isabel Marant saddle bag;elm:affiliate_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;elmt:premonetized;\" href=\"https:\/\/go.skimresources.com\/?id=74968X1525087&amp;xs=1&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fus.isabelmarant.com%2Fproducts%2Fpp0003faa1c01m80by-oskan-moon-bag-burgundy\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Isabel Marant saddle bag<\/a>, and seen visiting the campus bookstore, the Kennedy School library, and walking around the streets of Cambridge.<\/p>\n<p>Elisabeth\u2019s parents, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde, traveled to Boston this week for the graduation festivities. The King and Queen accompanied Elisabeth, who is heir to the Belgian throne, on Tuesday <a data-ylk=\"slk:to meet with Jeremy M. Weinstein;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DY2Z8CgjnCZ\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">to meet with Jeremy M. Weinstein<\/a>, dean of the Harvard Kennedy School. The royals were then seen on campus Wednesday, which was also <a data-ylk=\"slk:Class Day;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;\" href=\"https:\/\/hls.harvard.edu\/events\/class-day-2026\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Class Day<\/a> at Harvard, where Elisabeth wore <a data-ylk=\"slk:a red and white patterned, silk dress from Maje;elm:affiliate_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;elmt:premonetized;\" href=\"https:\/\/go.skimresources.com\/?id=74968X1525087&amp;xs=1&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.nordstrom.com%2Fs%2Fpatterned-silk-dress%2F8936089\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">a red and white patterned, silk dress from Maje<\/a>. Her <a data-ylk=\"slk:studies were nearly disrupted;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.townandcountrymag.com\/society\/tradition\/a68132105\/princess-elisabeth-belgium-harvard-university-second-year-2025\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">studies were nearly disrupted<\/a> last summer as a byproduct of Harvard\u2019s <a data-ylk=\"slk:ongoing dispute with the Trump administration;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.townandcountrymag.com\/education-college\/a70806142\/trump-administration-sues-harvard-antisemitism\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">ongoing dispute with the Trump administration<\/a>. In May 2025, the federal government had <a data-ylk=\"slk:announced a ban on international students at Harvard;elm:affiliate_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;elmt:premonetized;\" href=\"https:\/\/go.redirectingat.com?id=74968X1788647&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.nytimes.com%2F2025%2F05%2F22%2Fus%2Fpolitics%2Ftrump-harvard-international-students.html&amp;sref=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.townandcountrymag.com%2Fsociety%2Ftradition%2Fa71423422%2Fprincess-elisabeth-belgium-harvard-graduation-2026%2F\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">announced a ban on international students at Harvard<\/a>. It was speculated international students might continue their studies remotely online, based on learning experiences from the pandemic, but nothing was announced with certainty. Belgian news site Het Laatste Nieuws<a data-ylk=\"slk:reported in July;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.townandcountrymag.com\/society\/tradition\/a65318285\/princess-elisabeth-harvard-trump-administration-reaction\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">reported in July<\/a> that King Philippe and Queen Mathilde did not want preferential treatment for their daughter. Elisabeth was also said to want to \u201cshow solidarity with other foreign students.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Harvard <a data-ylk=\"slk:immediately challenged;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;\" href=\"https:\/\/news.harvard.edu\/gazette\/story\/2025\/05\/university-sues-administration-over-move-to-bar-international-students-scholars\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">immediately challenged<\/a> the White House in court and a <a data-ylk=\"slk:federal judge has since blocked;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pbs.org\/newshour\/politics\/federal-judge-blocks-trump-administration-effort-to-keep-harvard-from-hosting-foreign-students\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">federal judge has since blocked<\/a> the Trump administration\u2019s ban. While the court proceedings played out, international student visas were renewed, allowing students to return to school, in person, by the first day of the fall semester. Her cousin and the son of Princess Astrid, Prince Joachim, <a data-ylk=\"slk:earned an MBA from Harvard Business School;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vrt.be\/vrtnws\/en\/2021\/05\/28\/belgium-s-prince-joachim-fetches-harvard-degree\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">earned an MBA from Harvard Business School<\/a> in 2021.
