Alongside this, at the meeting EU leaders decided to extend sectoral sanctions against Russia for 12 months, signaling sustained support for Ukraine\u2019s sovereignty and deterrence of aggression.<\/p>\n
After the meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov announced one of the largest aid packages under the U.S. weapons supply program PURL, totaling more than one billion dollars, as well as a package of artillery shells for long-range artillery. According to official sources, the total amount of support could reach about four billion dollars.<\/p>\n
Ukraine has received confirmations from nine countries for the PURL program, \u201cand these are missiles for Patriot systems worth more than one billion\u201d<\/p>\n
