\n\tMartin Garrix<\/a> gave fans a surprise during his Tomorrowland<\/a> set.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Dutch DJ debuted his new collaboration with U2<\/a>, \u201cFireflies,\u201d during his headlining performance Friday (July 17) at the festival in Boom, Belgium. <\/p>\n

\n\tFor the debut, U2 guitarist The Edge<\/a> joined Garrix onstage to perform the previously unheard track, while Bono<\/a>\u2018s vocals played as part of the song.<\/p>\n

\n\tGarrix closed out Tomorrowland\u2019s opening day with the main stage headline set at De Schorre.<\/p>\n

\n\tFor the final song of the night, The Edge added his signature guitar work to \u201cFireflies,\u201d marking the song\u2019s live debut before its official release.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cFireflies with @u2 out soon.. premiered at @tomorrowland,\u201d Garrix wrote on Instagram<\/a> alongside a clip of the performance.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe upcoming single is now available to pre-save<\/a> on Spotify and Apple Music.<\/p>\n

\n\tGarrix and U2 are no strangers to collaborating. They previously joined forces on \u201cWe Are the People,\u201d the official song of the UEFA Euro 2020 tournament, which reached No. 12<\/a> on Billboard\u2018s Hot Dance\/Electronic Songs chart in May 2021.<\/p>\n

\n\tGarrix also produced U2\u2019s \u201cYour Song Saved My Life\u201d for the Sing 2 soundtrack, while Bono co-wrote several Garrix songs, including \u201cAngels for Each Other,\u201d \u201cCatherina\u201d and \u201cWeightless.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIt was unclear at press time whether \u201cFireflies\u201d will appear on an upcoming studio albums from Garrix or U2.<\/p>\n

\n\tU2 recently released \u201cStreet of Dreams,\u201d<\/a> the soaring lead single from the band\u2019s as-yet-untitled next studio album, its first since 2017\u2019s Songs of Experience. Due later this year, the album features \u201cStreet of Dreams,\u201d produced by frequent collaborator Jacknife Lee. <\/p>\n

\n\tIt arrives after U2 released the surprise six-song Easter Lily EP in April, just two months after the band\u2019s Days of Ash EP was released in February.<\/p>\n
