Photo: Bailey Amiss, CC BY-SA 2.0.<\/p>\n<p>For passengers leaving London, the new stop removes the Brussels transfer that is currently required to reach Antwerp. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurostar.com\/uk-en\/train\/london-to-antwerp\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Eurostar\u2019s London\u2013Antwerp route page<\/a> now advertises direct trains from December 2026, with the direct journey taking about 2 hours 40 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>The launch is deliberately asymmetrical. Antwerp-Centraal does not have the UK-bound border, customs and security facilities needed to process passengers before a London departure, so the reverse journey will continue to use Brussels-Midi.<\/p>\n<p>Four Daily Trains Will Run Direct to Antwerp<\/p>\n<p>The announced launch pattern uses four London\u2013Amsterdam trains, giving Antwerp four direct arrivals from London each day. The <a href=\"https:\/\/homeofficemedia.blog.gov.uk\/2023\/04\/06\/the-uks-juxtaposed-border-controls\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">UK Home Office describes Eurostar\u2019s Belgian juxtaposed controls<\/a> at Brussels-Midi, where passengers bound for Britain can be checked before departure.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurostar.com\/uk-en\/train\/antwerp-to-london\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Eurostar\u2019s current Antwerp-to-London instructions<\/a> tell passengers to take an SNCB train to Brussels-Midi, enter the Channel terminal, pass security with their luggage, have their travel documents checked and then board the Eurostar to London.<\/p>\n<p>From 14 December, Antwerp will therefore become a direct Eurostar destination from London, but not a direct boarding point for London-bound passengers.
