The journalists arrived in Brussels to participate in professional development courses.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting brought together representatives of the QazaqToday news agency (Almaty), Zhetysu radio (Taldykorgan), Kostanay Tany newspaper (Kostanay), Qyzylzhar-Aqparat media holding (Petropavlovsk), Turkistan Media Holding (Turkistan), as well as the Almaty TV Channel (Almaty). The delegation was led by Nazia Zhoyamergenkyzy, President of the Foundation of Turkic-Speaking Journalists.<\/p>\n<p>The Ambassador spoke about the key priorities of the Embassy\u2019s work, including the development of Kazakhstan\u2019s cooperation with Belgium and Luxembourg, engagement with the European Union, as well as Kazakhstan\u2019s activities at NATO.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe European Union remains Kazakhstan\u2019s largest trade and investment partner. The total volume of European investments in the country\u2019s economy has exceeded 200 billion US dollars, while Kazakhstan accounts for around 13% of the EU\u2019s oil imports,\u201d Ambassador Vassilenko noted.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, cooperation is actively developing in the transport sector, including the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route. Partnerships are also expanding in new areas such as critical raw materials, green energy, and digitalization. Negotiations on a visa facilitation agreement between Kazakhstan and the European Union are ongoing.<\/p>\n<p>The Ambassador also highlighted the positive dynamics of Kazakhstan\u2013Belgium relations. Belgian companies Ahlers, Sarens, Carmeuse, Solvay, and Jan De Nul operate in Kazakhstan.
