{"id":7382,"date":"2026-03-20T11:40:26","date_gmt":"2026-03-20T11:40:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/be\/7382\/"},"modified":"2026-03-20T11:40:26","modified_gmt":"2026-03-20T11:40:26","slug":"antwerp-mass-stabbing-live-horror-leaves-victims-fighting-for-lives-world-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/be\/7382\/","title":{"rendered":"Antwerp mass stabbing LIVE: Horror leaves victims fighting for lives | World | News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Navbel, a Belgian-Kurdish community organisation, has branded the Antwerp stabbing attack &#8220;an act of terror against Kurds\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, the group said: &#8220;We expect the Belgian police and judiciary to view and treat this act as such.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is no different from jihadists who specifically attack civilians in the streets, at Christmas markets, or other public places.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The fact the victims are Kurds should not lead the Belgian authorities to characterise this act differently.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They must not conceal this.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Belgian government must acknowledge that Kurds, even in Antwerp, are victims of hate speech and racist and jihadist-inspired violence.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The organisation said a further demonstration had been planned for January 23 in Antwerp, but this has now been cancelled out of respect for the victims.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Navbel, a Belgian-Kurdish community organisation, has branded the Antwerp stabbing attack &#8220;an act of terror against Kurds\u201d.
