Since 16 March 2026, an adapted version of the exhibition, curated by Dr. Yiannis Toumazis and Demetra Ignatiou, is open in the capital of Europe at the Gare Maritime, with a focus on contemporary digital media.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibits include material from the rich archaeological and archival collections of the BoCCF, the Press and Information Office (PIO), the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CyBC), and Larnaka Municipality, as well as digital exhibits by Stable Dot (Stathis Mitsios), The Cyprus Institute, cloudy.works, Maria Leonidou and Rebecca Stylianou, studio [lamarina], Treehouse Films, Sylvia Ioannou Charitable Foundation, CYENS Centre of Excellence, Stefan Prokopiou, Stavroula Gregoriou and Ioanna Charalambous. The exhibition also features works by Manuel Baud-Bovy and Aristea Tzanou, Panicos Chrysanthou, Nina Iakovou, Nurtane Karagil, Toula Liasi, Angelos Makrides, Electra Megaw, Theodosis Pierides, Demetrakis Yerokostas, Sholeh Zahraei and Kamil Saldun.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCyprus Insula \u2013 History, Memory, Reality\u201d presents a diachronic exploration of Cypriot identity, offering space for inquiry, dialogue, and critical reflection. Through interactive and immersive exhibits the material culture, built environment, and natural wealth of Cyprus, are showcased alongside the island\u2019s multifaceted historical trajectories. Focusing on the concepts of Time, Place, and People, the exhibition introduces visitors to the notion of Cypriotness through thematic routes addressed to all age groups. Relationships and narratives are emphasised that explore aspects of the island\u2019s history and contemporary reality which have shaped its enduringly complex yet cohesive cultural character.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, the exhibition reflects on the difficult years that have shaped Cyprus\u2019s recent history, underscoring the island\u2019s indivisible spatial unity and the lasting continuity of its insular character.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition \u201cCyprus Insula \u2013 History, Memory, Reality\u201d is organised by the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation (BoCCF) and is presented in Brussels in cooperation and with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, as part of the events organised for the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
