Officials warn that pressure on Belarus continues, and Kyiv is preparing defensive measures while keeping frontline forces and intelligence on high alert.
At present, there is no detected buildup of a strike force on Belarusian territory, but the threat persists.
This was stated on air by the spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service, Andriy Demchenko.
Current Situation at the Border with Belarus
The situation along the border with Belarus is different from the border with Russia. If we talk about the border line itself or the nearby territory, then, thankfully, there is no discernible buildup of a strike force that could pose a serious threat to our country.

At the same time, he stressed that pressure from Russia on Belarus aimed at drawing it more fully into the war on the side of the Russian Federation persists, and provocations may also occur.
Following a meeting with the military, the SBU, and the military and foreign intelligence, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russia has intensified contacts with Alexander Lukashenko in order to persuade Belarus to join new aggressive operations.
In light of these steps, Ukraine plans to reinforce the Chernihiv–Kyiv direction to strengthen defense and deter potential threats.
The commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert “Madjar” Brovdi, said that Ukraine has already identified about 500 targets in Belarus in case Lukashenko decides to join the war.
In sum, the situation at the Belarus border remains tense: the border service keeps the situation under control, and intelligence and defense forces are preparing for possible scenarios. Despite stability at the moment, the defense agencies continue monitoring and planning to respond promptly to various developments.
